Wanting something so bad you can taste it!

Today a friend found out she was not pregnant and my heart broke for her. She would be such a good mother and I know her heart is hurting so bad. Knowing all the emotion she is going through made me think back to when I was pregnant with Billy. He was such a beautiful little boy and I cherish those memories. So take some time and really look at your children and then hug and kiss them and tell them that you love them! To my friend lean on the Lord and he will give you the strength to get through this.

Look what a cute little man Billy was!!!!!!!

My Husband!

"Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest is my lover among the young men. I delight to sit in his shade." (Song of Solomon 2:3)

Today I reflect on the shade that my husband has given to me. That sounds really funny but it is so true. The shade of a tree can protect you from so many things and that is exactlly what my husband has done for me. Through this journey of grief he has been my shade and the only thing left in my life that I truely trust. I cry to him, scream at him and just fall apart at him and he is strong like a oak tree. He was a good Dad to Billy and he is a great Dad to Vanidy and he is absolutely a great PaPa to Drake! I hope someday he knows how much he means to us and how much I value him. So take today and pray for your husbands and tell them thank you for all the little things in life they do for you!

Welcome!

I created this blog today in memory of my loving son Billy Smith. Billy drowned on August 9, 2007 in the Red River in Thackerville, OK. He was doing something he loved and that was being in the middle of nature. Billy loved to listen to the birds, smell the air and watch the sky and many other things nature has to offer to us. Billy was a loving and thoughtful young man and most of all he was a wonderful dad. Billy loved his son Drake (named after a male duck!) very much. I will use this blog to post our lives without him but mostly to show Drake what his daddy's life was about. I will post different scrapbook pages and items to teach Drake just what a great, loving and generous Daddy he has! Thank you for coming by and seeing us and I hope to see you more and share more with you! God bless you and your family today!
